Visit Adairsville, Georgia the weekend of September 30, 2011 for the 43rd annual Great Locomotive Chase Festival. This will be a great weekend of arts and crafts, food, and entertainment in a town that witnessed the Great Locomotive Chase during the Civil War. Enjoy a street dance on Friday and Saturday night, pageants like the Little Mr. and Miss Festival, the Junior Miss Festival, and the Miss Festival, craft demonstrations, a parade, and much more.

The street dances will start at 8 PM and end at 11 PM both nights. The Little Mr. and Miss Festival pageant will be at 6 PM on Friday evening. Both Miss and Junior Miss Festival pageants will begin at 3 PM on Saturday. The parade will begin at 11 AM on Saturday morning.

The festival will take place on the historic square in downtown Adairsville and will be going on Friday and Saturday from 8 AM to 11 PM, Sunday from 12 Noon to 5 PM. Admission is $3 for everyone over 6 and is free on Sunday.
