Visit Adairsville, Georgia the weekend of September 30, 2011 for the 43rd annual Great Locomotive Chase Festival. This will be a great weekend of arts and crafts, food, and entertainment in a town that witnessed the Great Locomotive Chase during the Civil War. Enjoy a street dance on Friday and Saturday night, pageants like the Little Mr. and Miss Festival, the Junior Miss Festival, and the Miss Festival, craft demonstrations, a parade, and much more.
The street dances will start at 8 PM and end at 11 PM both nights. The Little Mr. and Miss Festival pageant will be at 6 PM on Friday evening. Both Miss and Junior Miss Festival pageants will begin at 3 PM on Saturday. The parade will begin at 11 AM on Saturday morning.
The festival will take place on the historic square in downtown Adairsville and will be going on Friday and Saturday from 8 AM to 11 PM, Sunday from 12 Noon to 5 PM. Admission is $3 for everyone over 6 and is free on Sunday.

Help honor and remember this nation’s veterans with a day of fun at the Southern Vets Fest 2011 at the Adairsville Middle School in Adairsville, Georgia on April 30, 2011. They will be honoring those who have sacrificed and dedicated their lives for the United States and helping to reunite veterans with other service members. They will also pay tribute to those in the active duty military, police officers, firefighters, and EMT personnel.
Live music will be played thoughout the day headlined by CMA and Grammy award nominee, country music artist John Berry. The kids will have fun with the activities planned for them and there will be plenty of food vendors available.
Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 the day of the event. Children 10 and under are free. VIP packages are available. You can get your advance tickets or VIP packages online at southernvetsfest.org. All proceeds from this event will go to benefit the Northwest Georgia Homeless Veterans Foundation (NGHVF) and the Three Rivers Program of Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry (FHFH).
As part of the festival, you can Ride for the Homeless. The motorcycle ride leaves from Harley Davidson of Cartersville at 10:30 AM. The ride ends at the festival. Registration begins at 9 AM and is $20 per bike. Included in the bike fee is 2 event tickets per bike. Call 770-769-9300 for more information on this ride.

Adairsville, Georgia welcomes some of the top antique and arts dealers from around the nation to their 2 day Antique and Arts festival in historic downtown Adairsville on April 16 – 17, 2011. Among the items for sale will be jewelry, glassware, collectibles, pottery, photographs and much more!
This event will be going on Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM and Sunday from 12 Noon to 5 PM. Admission and parking to the festival is free.

It’s time to celebrate the 42nd annual Great Locomotive Chase Festival in downtown Adairsville on the historic square on October 1 – 3, 2010. Come on down and check out the arts and crafts, food, and entertainment. The Little Mr. and Miss Festival pageant begins Friday night at 6 PM. Enjoy the parade on Saturday morning at 11 AM. The Miss Festival and Junior Miss Festival pageant starts at 3 PM on Saturday. Don’t forget your dancing shoes as there will be a street dance Friday and Saturday night from 8 PM to 11 PM. There will be Gospel singing on Sunday. Make sure to stop by the Age of Steam Rail Depot Museum and be entertained by the festival activities taking place there. The museum will be offering heritage craft demonstrations such as basket weaving, quilting and much more.
